London Fashion Week Festival

Whilst I wasn’t able to go to London Fashion Week I did get to go to London Fashion Week Festival, formerly London Fashion Weekend, on Friday afternoon. The Festival is now open until the 26th at a new location to previous years at Store Studios, 180 The Strand, where LFW was also held last week.

This was my first time attending the event and it was just as exciting as I was expecting!

For those of you that don’t know, the London Fashion Week Festival is a ticketed event (you can still buy tickets here for tomorrow!) open to members of the public and is an all round great day out experience. You can shop designers and brands throughout the venue; some offering great discounts specifically for the event, go to fashion talks and catwalks and also have your hair and make up done at the Toni & Guy / Maybelline pop up shops! Sounds fab, right?!

I went with my friend Emma and it was such a fun girls day out. We both had our make up retouched by the Maybelline make up artists and found it so interesting looking at all the different designers and their collections, and finding new brands who we hadn’t heard of before and falling in love with their pieces. There was also plenty of photo booths dotted around the event which we obviously had to get involved with!

After having a cocktail we went to the 7.30pm trend show which was partnered with Avenue32.com and showed the 3 main trends that have become increasingly popular. Micro Florals, Ruffles Reinvented and The Shoulder Show – all of which I am currently trying to update my wardrobe with so it gave me loads of inspo as to what to look out for! You can see a few of the outfits below…

If you love shopping and fashion I would definitely suggest having a look into getting tickets to this either tomorrow or for the next time when it’s back in September! It definitely made up for not being able to go to LFW!
