Tipsy Afternoon Tea – Pink Vanilla Events

Tipsy Afternoon Tea - Pink Vanilla Events

What do you get when you cross an afternoon tea with bottomless prosecco? …A bloody good time, that’s what! Last month I was very fortunate to receive an invite to the Tipsy Tea Party with Pink Vanilla Events and it exceeded any expectations I had for the day!

I love a classic afternoon tea as much as the next person, but sometimes I feel they can be a little awkward. Going to those fancy places where you pay an extortionate amount and sitting on the edge of your seat, upright, legs crossed and no elbows on the table…it can put you on edge and not give you the relaxed atmosphere you’re wanting when catching up with friends. Instead, Pink Vanilla events have done the complete opposite and made it their mission to make sure their guests attending have the best time possible, and I must say – they sure know how to throw a good party!

The Tipsy Tea Party was held at the Rayleigh members club, in Essex, which I hadn’t been to before. On arrival I was met with my first treat of the afternoon, nope no cake yet… butlers in the buff! They handed me a prosecco and off we went into the dining room. There were around 10 tables throughout the room and each had 10 seats. Pink, glitter and glam would be the top 3 words to describe the event and their decor – every lady attending dressed in their best outfit, hair and make up done and with a huge smile beaming across their face.

I told the organisers a couple of days before that I was vegetarian and they were more than happy to accommodate this. As you can see from the photos we had quite the selection and they definitely didn’t want anyone going hungry! The cakes were amazing (my favourite being the red velvet) and all covered in glitter. Oh so instaworthy. They also weren’t stingy when it came to topping up the prosecco and you easily got your money’s worth!

The event itself ran for 3 hours, from 2-5pm. To fill the time not only did they give us an incredible amount of food and prosecco, but also had some brilliant entertainment. I don’t know about you, but when I go to afternoon teas I’m usually left to sit on my table with my guests and that’s it. They decided to make it a bit more interactive and have photographers, live music, singers and dancers. There were several birthdays being celebrated on this occasion so they had their waiters (singers in disguise!) pull them out their seat and get them singing along. It was such a positive and happy atmosphere throughout the whole event.. it’s a shame it didn’t last longer as I’m sure most people would’ve wanted to continue partying the night away!

For the amount you get, tickets cost an extremely affordable £35pp which includes all food and bottomless prosecco! How can anyone turn that down?
