Purely Fashion

As I’m sure all of my fellow fashionistas are well aware it’s about to become one of the most exciting times of the year; London Fashion Week!

Whilst I haven’t been lucky enough to attend a LFW (…one day!), I do love to follow it on social media and see what people are wearing and what the designers are showing on the runway.

In the lead up to LFW there are quite a lot of various events going on in and around the city to kick start this time off and get everyone prepared. One of these events is the Pure London Trade Show, which I was fortunate enough to go to.
Pure London is held at Kensington Olympia and is the perfect opportunity to network with up and coming designers, brands and fellow names in the fashion industry, whilst also being able to explore and discover new trends that will be popular in later seasons (mainly  AW17) and to get some inspiration.

Attendees to the trade show can enjoy various talks, catwalks and tips on building their brand and collections from some of the biggest names in the industry – making it a well rounded, worthwhile event to go to!

On Sunday, when we visited, I was able to hear a speech from Alexandra Shulman – who has recently stepped down from her role as Editor of Vogue. That’s a pretty big deal. It was amazing to be able to hear about her time in the fashion industry and how it evolved throughout her career with the leading magazine company. (Did you know before she started at Vogue – she didn’t have ANY fashion related experience?! Whatttt! Who’d have thought?)

It was an incredibly interesting and inspiring experience to meet so many like-minded people and look at all the collections brands were showcasing. Certainly a priority event for your 2018 diary!
