As mentioned in my previous post, my family and I spent Mother’s Day by the seaside. I often take for granted living by the beach and spend the majority of my time up in the city running around at a million miles an hour always trying to do loads of things at once, so it was lovely to have a change and spend the day getting some much needed fresh air and quality family time.

Our aim for the day was to have “Tea By The Sea” –  which I’m very excited and proud to say is my mum’s new business. Tea by The Sea allows people to rent out a beautifully decorated beach hut in Walton-on-the-Naze and have afternoon tea at an additional cost. The food is catered for by Eden.Living, which specialise in Vegan and Vegetarian foods. Being a vegetarian (well, pescatarian if we are being picky) and a big food lover, this was an absolute treat!

We were so lucky to go on such a beautiful day, even if the wind was still cold. The hut comes with a table and chairs which we put outside to enjoy the sun, but the hut was also big enough to fit us all inside when we wanted to get away from the wind.

We had brought our own bottle of prosecco with us to go with all the food which was a great idea, but the food we were given was ahhhhmaaazing too. We had a huge choice of sandwiches, pasties, vegan sausage rolls and scones for the savoury selection, and sweet scones, chocolate brownies, tarts and fruit slices for the desserts. There was so much food we ended up taking some back home with us as we couldn’t finish it all!

I really enjoyed the day we had and I can’t wait to get down here more during the summer!
