London’s most instagrammable (and tasty!) pizza. Well, there’s a sentence I never thought I’d be writing!
How can pizza be instagrammable? I hear you say, but trust me, if you like pizza… and you like Instagram; then Homeslice is the place for you!
Hidden in the middle of Covent Garden, off of the main streets, is a little colourful alley full of vibrant restaurants, cafes, shops and even a hair salon: also known as Neal’s Yard. When it comes to Insta photos, Neal’s Yard has got you covered. Whether that be taking photos of the brightly painted buildings and scenery or the food from one of the shops – you’re sure to find something so you leave with at least a handful of amazing snaps.
One place not to miss in Neal’s Yard is Homeslice. Famous amongst Londoners for their huge 20inch pizza for £20. These pizzas are great to share amongst 2 – 4 people, with many options to choose from and being a casual restaurant it would be the perfect place to go to with a group of friends. If you’re stuck between what choice to have your pizza, you can have it 50/50 and a different flavour per each side OR if you really feel that the 20 inc pizzas are too big, then they do single slices which you can takeaway ( which are still pretty big for a single slice!) for £4.
The whole concept of Homeslice is pretty simple, pizza is all they offer and the inside is nothing fancy, but that’s what makes it so well loved!
The pizzas are made from scratch and are cooked in a wood fired oven, giving it a real authentic feel and are seriously tasty. At present Homeslice isn’t just limited to Neal’s Yard and they also have restaurants in Shoreditch and Fitzrovia. You can pre-book tables at the Shoreditch and Fitzrovia branches, but at Neal’s Yard ( which is my favourite one!) its based on a first come first serve. It gets pretty busy here at this branch, but don’t let the long queues put you off! They let you put your name and number down and when your turn comes they will call you, which gives you more time to go off wandering and exploring instead of waiting in a queue… SO WHY WOULD’NT YOU GO!
Top tip – ask to sit outside to make passerby’s jealous and also allow you to get the colourful buildings in the back of the photos, great idea right?!
If pizza isn’t your thing, have you seen my post on the Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea? That isn’t to be missed!
